Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, Cisco technologies, ACI, SD-WAN, and WAN communication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and maintain routing and switching solutions across enterprise networks.

- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls and ensure network security best practices are followed.

- Work extensively with Cisco technologies, including Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and Cisco SD-WAN solutions.

- Configure and optimize WAN communication systems, ensuring reliable connectivity for all business locations.

- Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, and potential risks.

- Participate in network architecture planning, upgrades, and capacity expansion initiatives.

- Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and timely resolution of network-related issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network components with other IT systems.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with organization-wide security and operational standards.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in routing and switching technologies.

- Proficiency in managing firewalls and network security systems.

- Extensive knowledge of Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, and enterprise-level Cisco networking solutions.

- Experience working with WAN communication, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.

- Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.

Preferred Skills :

- Advanced experience with Cisco ACI and SD-WAN deployments.

- Experience with additional firewall platforms and network security tools.

- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are a strong advantage.

- Familiarity with automation tools, network monitoring platforms, and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.).
