About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our organization's network infrastructure.
You will play a critical role in ensuring network performance, security, and reliability across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, protocols, and security practices, and be able to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to meet organizational needs.
- Monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support network infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies.
- Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
- Participate in capacity planning and recommend network enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Requirements :
Experience :
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking hardware.
Technical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
- Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
