Network Engineer - Datacenter/Virtualization

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), including routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.

- Manage and support co-location data center networking environments ensuring high availability and performance.

- Work with virtualized data center technologies, including Hyper-V networking, to support cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

- Monitor, debug, and administer network performance using various network monitoring and administration tools.

- Collaborate with security teams to configure and manage firewalls and load balancers, ensuring secure and efficient external access to single-tenant applications.

- Provide deep understanding and support for application integration and service stacks running on virtualized compute platforms.

- Utilize familiarity with Azure networking concepts to support hybrid cloud environments.

- Troubleshoot network issues related to data, voice, and video technologies ensuring minimal downtime.

- Document network configurations, processes, and incident resolutions to maintain comprehensive network knowledge base.

Qualifications :

- Strong experience with co-location data center networking.

- Hands-on knowledge of virtualized data center networking, especially Hyper-V.

- Solid understanding of wired and wireless data, voice, and video network technologies.

- Proven skills in enterprise LAN/WAN design and network device configuration and troubleshooting.

- Experience with network monitoring, debugging, and administration tools.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking concepts and services.

- Experience configuring and managing firewalls and load balancers for secure application access.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools.

- Knowledge of cloud networking best practices and hybrid cloud deployments.
