Job Title : Network Engineer

About the Role :

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide and data center voice and data network solutions. This role supports both internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring network architectures align with business objectives, security standards, and performance expectations.

The position requires strong technical expertise across networking, security, and voice technologies, along with the ability to lead complex initiatives, mentor peers, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for network solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Design & Engineering :

- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise and data center network solutions for voice and data environments

- Develop scalable and secure network, security/threat, and voice solutions aligned with architectural standards

- Support engineering design, implementation, and optimization activities across multiple platforms

- Manage network and security capacity planning to ensure performance and reliability

Technical Leadership & Ownership :

- Operate as a fully functional and self-directed engineer

- Own and lead high-complexity assignments and high-priority projects

- Own multiple moderate-complexity initiatives independently

- Provide oversight and technical review for low-complexity assignments

- Act as a Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) or specialist in assigned technologies

- Maintain a holistic view of systems and proactively adjust work based on dependencies and risks

Product & Solution Strategy :

- Contribute to product strategy for specific network technologies (e.g., Cisco platforms)

- Build product business plans to support revenue generation and investment justification

- Develop product roadmaps, technical requirements, and user stories

- Partner closely with engineering teams to align product strategy with development execution

- Engage with delivery teams to ensure operational readiness and supportability

Stakeholder & Client Engagement :

- Consult with internal and external customers to gather technical and business requirements

- Coordinate network solutions with customers and internal delivery teams

- Communicate project status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders and clients

- Measure and assess client satisfaction and recommend service improvements

Operations & Support :

- Participate in network projects, change requests, and troubleshooting activities

- Assist in evaluating issue priority and provide front-line technical responses

- Support internal teams with product and solution-related escalations

- Maintain accurate network documentation, standards, and design guidelines

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing :

- Provide formal mentorship to less experienced engineers

- Share best practices, technical knowledge, and design standards across teams

- Support continuous improvement of network engineering processes

Supervisory Responsibilities :

- This role does not have direct reports

- Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior or less experienced associates

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR

- Minimum 3 years of relevant network engineering experience

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Cisco routing and switching technologies

2. F5 load balancing solutions

3. Network security concepts and controls

Preferred Qualifications :

- Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols

- Experience with network security policy configuration and enforcement

- Relevant certifications or equivalent expertise, such as:

1. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE

2. Check Point or other recognized security certifications
