Senior Network Engineer.
Location : Remote.
Engagement : Full-Time.
Time : 4am to 1pm IST.
Reports to : Director of Network & Systems.
About The Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to drive the evolution of our core infrastructure and strengthen collaboration between Engineering and NOC teams.
Youll be at the forefront of delivering critical network upgrades, managing cutting-edge disaggregated systems (OcNOS + 6WIND), and enhancing our Fortinet-based security and SD-WAN capabilities.
In this role, youll work alongside a technically hands-on leadership team and play a key part in empowering the NOC to take on more change and support functions independently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead projects focused on IP routing, disaggregated infrastructure, and SD-WAN deployments.
- Oversee the rollout and lifecycle management of OcNOS (IP Infusion) and UfiSpace hardware.
- Support the migration to 6WIND border routers on bare metal infrastructure.
- Provide L3 escalation support and closely collaborate with the NOC team (based in the Philippines).
- Document network changes, upgrades, and platform enhancements.
- Design, implement, and manage Fortinet-based firewalls and SD-WAN solutions.
- Ensure network observability and proactive issue resolution through monitoring tools.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call roster for change management and critical incident response.
Must-Have Skills & Experience :
- 5+ years in network engineering, ideally within service provider or telco environments.
- Strong expertise in Layer 2/3 networking, IP addressing, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Proven knowledge of QoS and MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching).
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet security appliances and SD-WAN deployments.
- Proficiency in SNMP-based monitoring, NMS tools, and capacity planning.
Nice-to-Haves :
- Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with disaggregated systems or network OS (OcNOS, 6WIND, Cumulus, etc.)
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash) with an automation-first mindset.
- Mentoring experience with NOC teams and escalation management.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry certifications highly regarded (Fortinet, Cisco, IP Infusion, etc.)
- Open to certification opportunities for the right candidate.
