Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer with strong expertise in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with enterprise networks, routing protocols, and network security best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and Palo alto firewalls in enterprise environments.

- Perform incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for network-related issues.

- Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, STP, QoS, and link aggregation configurations.

- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and optimal performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and security teams to maintain secure network connectivity.

- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration records.

- Provide L2/L3 support escalation for critical network incidents.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and Cisco switches (Catalyst, Nexus series).

- Proficiency in routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing.

- Deep understanding of Layer 2 technologies VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, trunking, and port security.

- Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).

- Experience with network troubleshooting tools Wireshark, ping, traceroute, etc.

- Working knowledge of firewalls is a plus.

- Familiarity with SD-WAN and wireless networking is desirable.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications (Required) :

- CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional) Mandatory

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
