Job Title : Network Engineer Corporate Network Deployments


Duration : 6 Months

Location : Bangalore (IN-BLR-BCPEK Bagmane Capital Parks, Kyoto East Tower, Doddanekundi Circle, Marathahalli Post, Bangalore - 560037)

Work Mode : Hybrid (TueThu in-office, some weeks may require full onsite)

Work Schedule : Normal Business Hours


Role Overview :


We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our Corporate Network Deployments team for a 6-month contractual role. This position involves designing, implementing, and operating scalable, secure, and reliable networking infrastructure that supports our global operations. Youll contribute to engineering efforts, perform hands-on implementation, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.


Technical Requirements :


- Experience: Minimum 7 years in networking domain.


Certifications (Mandatory) :

- CCNA

- CCNP


Hands-on expertise in :

- Networking devices (Routers, Firewalls, Switches)

- Python scripting for automation


- Preferred Industry Background: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar network-focused companies.


- Must be capable of troubleshooting and administering network infrastructure.


Soft Skills:


- Strong communication and collaboration skills are crucial.


- Regular interaction with cross-functional and partner teams is expected.


- Proactive in taking ownership and working in a fast-paced environment.


Work Conditions:


- Must be comfortable with shift timings (support model).


- Hybrid model (3 days onsite: TueThu); some weeks may require full onsite presence.


Interview Process:


- Total 2 rounds of interviews.


- Emphasis on both technical and communication skills.


Joining Flexibility:


- Open to immediate joiners, 15-day notice, and up to 1-month notice period candidates.


Key Responsibilities


- Execute end-to-end project tasks independently and contribute to network infrastructure design and implementation.


- Support and drive prioritized project work with minimal guidance, ensuring timely execution of objectives.


- Evaluate current inefficiencies and propose improvements to existing network systems, software, and processes.


- Participate in on-call and ticket rotations to support ongoing operations and incident resolution.


- Perform root cause analysis and draft actionable postmortems following network incidents.


- Develop automation tools to improve network efficiency and reliability.


- Resolve network and system-related hardware and software issues in partnership with engineering and vendors.


- Contribute to capacity planning, performance monitoring, and traffic engineering.


- Maintain documentation, follow operational best practices, and engage in knowledge sharing across teams.


Core Networking Competencies :


- Networks: Strong understanding of hardware, routing/switching, cabling, protocols, and operations.


- Network Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.


- Network Design: Design scalable and resilient architectures with performance and future growth in mind.


- Network Service Quality & Traffic Engineering: Monitor performance and implement traffic optimization strategies.


- Optical Networking: Familiarity with client optics, metro/long-haul technologies, and submarine transport systems.


- Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) understanding.


Software & Automation Skills :


- Automation & Scripting: Use tools and code to automate tasks and optimize workflows.


- Software Development: Working knowledge of programming concepts and writing structured, readable code.


- System and Gateway Protocols: Understanding of IS-IS, IGP, and backbone network protocols.


Operational Excellence :


- Ability to identify and update operational requirements in collaboration with developers and architects.


- Support on-call operations, especially across multi-vendor and SDN-based networks.


- Perform quantitative analysis and capacity forecasting.


Preferred Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.


- 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise or carrier-grade network environments.


- Experience with SDN, OpenFlow-based architectures, and network automation tools.


- Familiarity with Linux environments and network configuration management tools.
