Network Engineer

Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to support terminal server and network switch deployments in a large-scale enterprise environment. The role focuses on hands-on deployment and support of Cisco-based terminal servers and Juniper network switches, with opportunities to cross-train across platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IP networking and a flexible mindset to work across multiple network technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and support terminal servers, primarily Cisco 8300 series devices.

- Install, configure, and bring online Juniper switches, including Juniper EX4400 and Juniper 4300 models.

- Assist with device configuration, testing, validation, and commissioning of new network devices.

- Follow standard deployment and change management processes during installations and upgrades.

- Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth deployments.

- Support troubleshooting activities related to IP connectivity, device configurations, and network access.

- Participate in documentation and knowledge transfer for deployed solutions.

Required Skills & Experience :

Core Technical Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in IP networking and network device deployment/support.

- Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper network devices (experience with both is a strong advantage).

- Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and network protocols.

Platform & Device Knowledge :

- Experience working with Cisco terminal servers, preferably Cisco 8300 series.

- Experience with Juniper switches, including EX-series (EX4400, EX4300).

Professional & Behavioral Skills :

- Willingness to cross-train and work across both Cisco and Juniper platforms.

- Ability to follow structured processes and deployment standards.

- Strong communication and coordination skills while working with global teams.

- Self-driven and capable of working independently in a remote, US-shift environment.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.

- Experience with remote deployments and terminal server infrastructure.

- Familiarity with change management and ITIL-based operational processes.
