Job Title : Network Automation Engineer

Location : Bengaluru/Chennai (WFO)

Your Responsibilities :

- Investigate and resolve complex network issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.

- Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to analyse network faults, identify causes, and implement solutions.

- Network Performance Monitoring : Monitor network health, performance, and availability across multiple sites, ensuring uptime and performance standards are met. Resolve potential performance bottlenecks.

- Network Optimization : Evaluate network performance data and implement optimization strategies to improve network reliability, speed, and security.

- Configuration and Installation : Assist with the configuration, deployment, and integration of networking hardware (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls) and software, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.

- Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for network configurations, system architecture, troubleshooting procedures, and escalations. Update and improve operational manuals.

- On-call Support : Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical network issues, ensuring minimal service disruption.

- Collaboration with Teams : Collaborate with internal IT, security teams, vendors, and third-party partners to resolve complex technical issues and ensure smooth network operations.

- Escalation Management : Serve as the primary contact for escalated technical issues from Level 1 and 2 support teams. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training for junior engineers.

- Capacity Planning and Upgrades : Analyse network traffic patterns and plan for future growth by recommending hardware and software upgrades to meet evolving our needs.

Knowledge & Experience :

- 3- 15 years of relevant industry experience

- Experience of working in a virtual team environment

- Programming languages : Python, JavaScript, JAVA, FTL

- Very good Linux environment knowledge

- Methodologies : CI/CD, Agile, SCRUM

- Next generation technologies (Netconf / Yang)

- GPON Domain Knowledge

- Knowledge of NOKIA FN products such as SDAN, Home wifi is an added advantage

- Hands on expertise on Cloud Technologies (AWS, GKE, RedHat, Azure, Rancher)

- Good In-depth knowledge on Kubernetes and Docker / container

- Architecture level understanding

- Understanding on different infra level microservices

- Good Exposure on open-source components like Key cloak, Index search, RabbitMQ, Kafka

- MQTT/ USP exposure

- Good trouble shooting skills

- Work on global customer time zones as per need of projects

- Design, develop, and execute automation test suites for VoIP and backend systems.

- Validate communication protocols like SIP, RTP, and HTTP.

- Perform log analysis and troubleshoot VoIP call flows and SIP message traces.

- Build and maintain automation frameworks and integrate test cases with CI/CD tools.

- Write automation scripts using Python or similar scripting languages.

- Conduct testing for REST APIs, microservices, and network interfaces
