This critical role is responsible for ensuring the high availability, security, and optimal performance of our network infrastructure, which is essential for 24/7 news gathering and delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Network Maintenance : Install, configure, and maintain all network hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points) and network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).

- Security & Monitoring : Implement robust network security protocols, manage access controls, and continuously monitor the network for performance degradation, security breaches, and availability issues.

- Troubleshooting : Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network-related problems promptly to minimize downtime for editorial and operations staff.

- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate network documentation, including configurations, maps, and inventory, ensuring compliance with relevant IT policies.

- System Upgrades : Plan and execute necessary network upgrades, patches, and migrations during scheduled maintenance windows.

Qualifications & Requirements :

- Proven experience (2+ years) in network administration or a similar role.

- Solid understanding of network principles, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, and VLANs.

- Experience administering network operating systems and managing security appliances (firewalls).

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are highly desirable.

- Ability to work independently and respond to network emergencies outside of standard business hours when necessary.
