We are seeking a seasoned and strategic QA Engineering Leader to drive quality excellence across our software development lifecycle.
This role will lead a high-performing team of manual and automation QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Team Leadership & Strategy :
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to develop a team of QA Engineers (Manual & Automation) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software with the necessary coverage and timeliness in both manual and test automation coverage.
- Apply the QA Automation strategy wishes sustained continuous improvement, optimization, and overall quality.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for all QA team members.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams with supporting metric-driven insights.
- Make timely and effective decisions to ensure the team continues to move forward while balancing current and future roadmap objectives.
- Support and manage change initiatives and develop strategies to support change in engineering processes and strategy.
Testing Excellence :
- Drive the development and maintenance of scalable test frameworks using the standard tools for both manual and test automation libraries.
- Oversee regression, functional, integration, and all testing types across varying architectures, platforms, and environments.
Collaboration and Planning :
- Align and work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure all testing activities are embedded in the necessary stages of the SDLC.
- Drive planning with managed resource utilization and budget alignment, and execution in collaboration with the development teams to ensure the successful delivery and quality of the products.
Quality Governance & Reporting :
- Define and manage to key QA and Operational Metrics (e.g. test coverage, internal/external defect escape rate, productivity, delivery effectiveness, root cause analysis).
- Ensure test and release documentation, standards, and compliance are maintained and governed.
What Youll Need to Be Successful (Required Skills) :
- 14+ years of experience in QA Automation, with at least 8 years in a leadership or managerial role leading large, complex projects, products, and cross-functional QA teams.
- Advanced test automation library coverage analysis, scalability, optimization, and maintenance experience.
- Proficient in the product development life cycle using various methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications :
- Education/ Certifications : Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with Source Control & CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based testing, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and scripting languages (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, JavaScript, HTML, Post Man, Rest-Assured, Swagger, JMeter).
- Understanding of cloud-based SaaS architectures with high availability and scalability using microservices and cloud-native application environments.
