Role Overview :

We are seeking a passionate Netezza Administrator with strong hands-on experience to join our team in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, uptime, and stability of Netezza appliances, databases, and processes.

As a Netezza Administrator, you will play a key role in daily operations, including monitoring system performance, managing backups, troubleshooting issues, and supporting database updates.

You will work closely with development teams and participate in incident resolution while automating and documenting support processes to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- You will be responsible for providing daily support for Netezza appliances, databases, and processes, ensuring that performance, health, and resource utilization are consistently monitored and optimized.

- Troubleshooting connectivity, query, and performance issues will be a critical part of your role, ensuring minimal downtime and high system efficiency.

- Additionally, you will manage backups, restores, patching, and upgrades, while assisting with user management, access controls, and security.

- Your role will also include collaborating with development teams to deploy database updates and participating in the on-call rotation for incident resolution.

- You will also be expected to automate and document support processes to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills :

- The ideal candidate will have 47 years of experience in Netezza administration, with hands-on expertise in SQL and query tuning.

- You should have a strong background in working with tools such as nzload, nzsql, nzbackup, and nzrestore.

- Experience with platform patching and upgrades is essential for this role, along with familiarity with WLM, monitoring tools, and automation scripting.

- A solid understanding of data warehouse concepts is also necessary, as well as excellent communication and troubleshooting skills to efficiently resolve any system-related issues.
