Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls, including hands-on experience in Palo Alto implementation.

This role will focus on designing, deploying, and securing enterprise network environments, with a strong emphasis on firewall architecture, network segmentation, and threat prevention.

The ideal candidate will have a strong security mindset and proven experience in managing complex firewall deployments across hybrid infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement secure network architectures using Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls.

- Lead Palo Alto firewall implementations, including policy creation, NAT, threat prevention, and integration with Panorama

- Configure and manage VPNs, including site-to-site and remote access (Cisco ASA / Palo Alto GlobalProtect).

- Collaborate with security teams to enforce zero-trust policies, segmentation, and identity-based access.

- Monitor and optimize firewall performance and security posture using tools like Panorama, Cisco Firepower, and Threat Intelligence platforms.

- Conduct firewall rule audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments.

- Interface with vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto) and support teams for escalations and TAC cases.

- Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, firewall policies, and change logs.

- Participate in DR planning, incident response, and security reviews.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on firewall technologies.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks (including implementation projects).

- Strong expertise in Cisco ASA, Firepower, and VPN technologies.

- Solid understanding of network security principles, NAT, ACLs, IPS/IDS, and threat prevention.

- Familiarity with Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Palo Alto best practices.

- Experience with Cisco routing/switching is a plus.

- Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP) is desirable.

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) preferred

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNP Security required

- Additional certifications (e.g., CCIE, AWS/Azure Networking) are a plus.
