We are looking for a Senior AI Research Engineer (PhD in AI/ML or related field) with 4+ years of industry experience to join our growing AI team.

In this role, you will bridge advanced research with real-world production systems designing, building, and deploying scalable AI solutions including Physical AI, embodied AI that drive measurable business impact. You will work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to transform cutting-edge AI research into reliable, high-performance applications.

Working as a Senior AI Research Engineer at Navtech, you will :

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable ML/DL/LLM/SLM models in pre-production environments

- Translate research ideas into robust, business-ready AI solutions

- Lead end-to-end model lifecycle : data preparation, experimentation, evaluation, deployment,

and monitoring

- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and efficiency

- Build and maintain MLOps pipelines (CI/CD for ML systems)

Work on advanced AI domains such as :

- Generative AI / LLMs

- NLP / Computer Vision (as applicable)

- Recommendation systems

- Predictive modeling

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions

- Stay current with state-of-the-art research and evaluate applicability to product use cases

Who Are We Looking For Exactly :

- PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field

- 4+ years of industry experience building and deploying AI/ML systems

- Strong programming skills in Python

- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as : TensorFlow / PyTorch, Scikit-learn

- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI

- Experience designing AI systems at scale

- Experience with : Model deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, APIs), Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), MLOps tools and workflows

- Strong understanding of : Statistical modeling, Optimization techniques, Model evaluation methodologies
