Role : Vice President IT Business Analyst / Project Manager (Regulatory Reporting | Liquidity Focus)


Job Summary :


As a Vice President - IT Business Analyst / Project Manager (Regulatory Reporting | Liquidity Focus), you will play a critical, dual role at a leading Investment Banking company. This senior position requires a deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) in liquidity regulatory reporting (Basel), coupled with proven expertise in leading the end-to-end project lifecycle within a complex IT environment. You will be instrumental in driving compliance, translating regulatory mandates into functional solutions, and ensuring flawless delivery across global regulatory reporting initiatives.


Roles & Responsibilities :


Regulatory Reporting and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) :


- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on liquidity regulatory reporting (e.g., LCR, NSFR, ALMM, funding requirements), providing expert guidance to both business and technology teams.


- Partner with business (Treasury, Risk, Finance) and IT stakeholders to successfully deliver complex Basel-driven regulatory reporting initiatives.


- Support the implementation of global regulatory changes across various regions, covering both Liquidity and Capital Reporting mandates.


End-to-End Project Management (PM) :


- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for regulatory projects, overseeing all phases from initiation through final delivery.


- Develop comprehensive project plans, manage timelines, track dependencies, and actively manage project risks and issues.


- Ensure the business benefits getting delivered are clearly defined, tracked, and realized upon project completion.


- Drive project execution using Proven project management and leadership capabilities.


IT Business Analysis (BA) and Functional Design :


- Conduct detailed requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders, analyzing complex regulatory rules and business needs.


- Create detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), ensuring a clear and unambiguous blueprint for IT development.


- Possess excellent know-how of the technical and functional aspects of tech project delivery to effectively collaborate with varied technical stakeholders throughout the SDLC.


Stakeholder Management and Collaboration :


- Excellent in engaging with various technology and business stakeholders and aligning them towards common project objectives and strategic vision.


- Collaborate closely with IT leads (Architecture, Development, QA) to ensure technical implementation aligns precisely with business and regulatory objectives.


- Manage and track delivery progress, including Quality Assurance (QA) and delivery tracking.


- Utilize Agile Delivery tools (Jira) and collaborative tools (Confluence) for effective project documentation and workflow management.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


Domain Expertise : Subject Matter Expert on liquidity regulatory reporting (e.g., LCR, NSFR, etc.).


Experience Level : Senior-level experience commensurate with a Vice President role in Investment Banking.


Project Management : Proven project management and leadership capabilities, including experience with the full SDLC and delivery tracking.


Technology Tools : Experience in using Agile Delivery tools (Jira) and collaborative tools (Confluence).


Communication : Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people (Business, IT, and Senior Management).


Regulatory Projects : Experience with regulatory reports related projects is a distinct advantage.


Technical Acumen : Good know-how of the technical and functional aspects of tech project delivery to work effectively with various tech stakeholders at varied levels.


Preferred Skills :


- Direct experience with Basel III/IV regulatory frameworks.


- Experience in data lineage and governance within regulatory reporting systems.


- Knowledge of core Investment Banking products (Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities) and how they impact liquidity metrics.


- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) for validation and reconciliation purposes.
