Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Storage and Backup Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in managing multi-vendor, large-scale storage and backup systems. This role requires proficiency in leading storage technologies like NetApp, Dell, and Pure, as well as expertise in backup systems such as Cohesity and Networker. You will be responsible for providing T1/T2 support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical data infrastructure, including 24/7 on-call participation.

Responsibilities :

- Provide T1/T2 support for multi-vendor storage technologies infrastructure, including NetApp, Dell, and Pure Storage.

- Provide T1/T2 support for backup systems infrastructure, including Cohesity and Networker.

- Participate in a 24/7-hour on-call rotation to provide immediate support for critical issues.

- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot service availability, capacity, and reliability of all storage and backup systems.

- Efficiently handle and resolve performance issues on storage and backup systems to ensure optimal operation.

- Monitor backup systems daily for backup/restore failures and ensure timely resolution to maintain data integrity and recovery capabilities.

- Be actively involved in P1/P2 incidents, collaborating effectively with multiple internal and external teams for swift resolution.

- Address and manage tickets (incidents and requests) promptly and accurately within ServiceNow.

- Generate custom reports/dashboards for performance, capacity, and operational metrics, and create comprehensive Knowledgebase documentation.

- Work collaboratively with various vendors for issue resolution, product enhancements, and support.

- Adapt quickly to changing environments and emerging technologies to maintain expertise and provide effective solutions.

Required Qualifications :

- 4-6 years of experience in managing multi-vendor, large-scale Storage and Backup systems.

- Proficiency in storage technologies including NetApp, Dell, and Pure Storage.

- Expertise in backup systems including Cohesity and Networker.

- Proven experience providing T1/T2 support for complex storage and backup environments.

- Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting service availability, capacity, and reliability.

- Demonstrated ability to handle performance issues on storage and backup systems.

- Experience in monitoring backup systems for failures and performing daily resolutions.

- Involvement in P1/P2 incidents and collaboration with multiple teams for resolution.

- Experience addressing tickets (incidents and requests) in ServiceNow.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and technologies.

- Skilled in generating custom reports/dashboards and Knowledgebase documentation.

- Experience working with various vendors.
