The Senior Ruby-on-Rails Developer is a key technical role requiring 5- 8 years of professional experience to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications.

This is a full-time position available PAN India, with a preference for candidates who are Immediate to 30 Days notice period.

The incumbent must possess Strong experience with Ruby on Rails complemented by proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and MongoDB / NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Backend Architecture and Development (Ruby on Rails & NoSQL) :

- Develop and maintain high-performance backend applications using Ruby on Rails, adhering to the MVC architecture and best practices.

- Gain Hands-on experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases for data modeling, querying, and optimization, understanding the benefits and trade-offs compared to traditional SQL.

- Design, build, and consume secure and efficient RESTful / GraphQL APIs for internal and external application communication.

- Implement and manage background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque) to handle asynchronous processing, long-running tasks, and improve application responsiveness.

- Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture (understanding is required) for application modularity and scalability.

Frontend Development and UI/UX :

- Demonstrate Strong experience with Vue.js for building dynamic, single-page applications (SPAs) or interactive components within the Rails view layer.

- Develop clean, responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks like Bootstrap/Tailwind.

Quality Assurance and DevOps Practices :

- Write well-structured, maintainable, and tested code, with mandatory Familiarity with testing frameworks such as RSpec, Minitest, Jasmine, or Mocha for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Utilize Knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket for source control, branching, and collaborative development workflows.

- Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in all ceremonies and contributing to rapid iterative development cycles.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 5- 8 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails.

- Backend : Strong skills in Ruby on Rails, MVC architecture, and background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque).

- Database : Hands-on experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases.

- Frontend : Strong experience with Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap/Tailwind.

- APIs : Experience building and consuming RESTful / GraphQL APIs.

- Testing : Familiarity with RSpec, Minitest, Jasmine, or Mocha for writing tested code.

- Tools/Methodology : Knowledge of Git and experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Knowledge of containerization using Docker.

- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for Rails applications.
