Job Title : Mulesoft Backend Designer

Experience : 8+ Years

Location : Bangalore / Gurgaon (Hybrid)

Role Overview :

- Design and implement Mulesoft-based backend solutions aligned with enterprise architectural principles.

- Translate business and solution architecture requirements into detailed API-specific technical designs.

- Develop and maintain API specifications using RAML and enforce API governance standards.

- Leverage DataWeave for data transformation, enrichment, and complex mappings.

- Define and implement backend system integration patterns, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Apply security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and TLS across all API designs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, DevOps, QA) to ensure seamless delivery.

- Conduct design reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Optimize APIs for resilience, performance, and fault tolerance in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in backend/API design and development, with at least 3+ years on Mulesoft.

- Strong knowledge of Mulesoft architectural principles and API-led connectivity approach.

- Hands-on expertise in RAML, DataWeave, and API specification standards.

- Proficiency in backend system integration with enterprise systems/databases.

- Solid understanding of security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS).

- Experience designing for high availability, scalability, and performance optimization.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, API monitoring, and logging tools is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, design thinking, and communication skills.
