Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Eagle Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Eagle Investment Systems and a solid background in database development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on Eagle components, providing advanced-level (L3/L4) support, troubleshooting processes, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of financial data processing applications. This role involves close collaboration with business users, QA teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality, mission-critical solutions in the investment banking domain.
Key Responsibilities :
Eagle Application Development & Support :
- Work extensively with Eagle components including PACE, Datamart, RDC, and Automation Center.
- Provide L3/L4 production support, resolve incidents, and troubleshoot Eagle processes and workflows.
- Create and maintain complex SQL scripts, functions, packages, procedures to support business and operational requirements.
- Perform Eagle process troubleshooting, error debugging, and root cause analysis for system issues.
- Implement, configure, and optimize Eagle system parameters, schemas, and events.
- Design and manage time-based loads and automated workflows using Automation Center.
- Manage data archive policies, purge rules, and optimize Eagle extracts for performance improvements.
Database Development & Optimization :
- Design and optimize complex database models while ensuring referential integrity constraints, indexing, partitioning, and efficient query execution.
- Debug and troubleshoot SQL performance issues, implementing optimizations where necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality Oracle queries, procedures, packages, views, and related DB objects.
- Monitor and tune Oracle and MS SQL Server databases for performance and scalability.
Reporting & Analytics :
- Develop and maintain Eagle OLAP reports, custom queries, and dashboards.
- Create, modify, and publish reports to the Eagle Portal, including automated distribution via email.
- Build general, advanced, and customized reports based on business requirements.
Collaboration & Governance :
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to in-house coding standards.
- Maintain version control and manage database changes using code repositories.
- Work closely with business users, technical leads, and other teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support QA and testing efforts to ensure highest quality deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Eagle Expertise :
- 6+ years in Eagle application development.
- Strong knowledge of Eagle PACE, Eagle Datamart creation and modification, RDC.
- Deep understanding of Eagle Data Model and Automation Center usage.
- Hands-on with Eagle Errors debugging, schemas, events, and system configurations.
- Experience with data archiving, purge policies, and Eagle extract optimization.
- Proficiency in Eagle OLAP reporting and scheduling tools.
Database Skills :
- Strong Oracle database development skills with SQL, PL/SQL (functions, packages, procedures, triggers).
- Knowledge of referential integrity, indexing, and partitioning.
- Experience with MS SQL Server is a plus.
Domain Knowledge :
- Strong understanding of investment banking and financial data processing.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and ability to work across teams.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
- Strong team player with a commitment to process and quality improvement.
Preferred Skills :
- Eagle STAR experience.
- Exposure to IWS, EDS, Message Center Streams, Web Panel, EJM.
- Experience in report creation and Portal publishing.
- Knowledge of load balancers and user permission configurations.
- Application coding experience in other programming languages.
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter for ETL processes.
