Mygo Consulting - Lead SAP ABAP Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Lead Consultant with strong expertise in ABAP Proxy, OData, and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will lead complex ABAP development projects and serve as a key liaison between the technical and functional teams, driving the successful delivery of integration solutions using SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI with ABAP Proxy mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom ABAP solutions with a focus on ABAP Proxy based integrations.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ABAP solutions.

- Develop and maintain ABAP RICEF components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

- Implement SAP interfaces using Inbound/Outbound ABAP Proxies via SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI.

- Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices and naming

conventions.

- Lead a team of ABAP developers, mentor junior members, and ensure timely and quality deliverables.

- Work closely with integration teams to build reliable data exchange processes across SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Develop and expose OData/REST/SOAP services for Fiori and third-party system integrations.

- Coordinate system upgrades, transports, and unit/integration testing cycles.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to custom developments and proxies.

Technical Skills Required :

- Core ABAP Development : Reports (Classical/Interactive/ALV), BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, BDC, SmartForms, Adobe Forms.

- ABAP Proxy (Inbound/Outbound) : Design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

- Integration with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI : Working knowledge of SOAP/XML/IDOC adapters.

- OData & SAP Gateway Service creation, testing, debugging.

- ALE/IDOC Configuration and custom development.

- Performance tuning and debugging skills.

- Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) is a must.

- Exposure to S/4HANA environment and CDS views is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- SAP certification in ABAP or SAP Integration is an added advantage.

- Experience in S/4HANA projects or migration is desirable.
