What are we looking for you to do ?

- Design : Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines, with a focus on data migration projects.

- Management : Manage and optimize data systems and databases, particularly in Postgres.

- Utilization : Utilize Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and automating complex data workflows.

- Development : Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and ETL processes to support data integration and data quality.

- Monitoring : Proactively monitor data integrity and consistency across various platforms.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions.

- lnnovation : Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements : automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

- Analytics : Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.

- Support : Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

- Security : Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centres and regions.

What are we looking for in the successful candidate ?

Role would be based in with an expectation of three days in the office.

- Should have team management experience.

- 7+ years of experience in a data engineering role.

- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, particularly Postgres.

- Experience with data migration and familiarity with challenges and best practices.

- Proficient in using Azure Data Factory and similar data integration tools.

- Solid understanding of data architecture and ETL processes.

- Experience with big data tools : Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.

- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.

- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
