As a Team Leader in our DevOps team, you will play a pivotal role in leading a high-performing, distributed DevOps engineering team in delivering robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure and deployment capabilities.

You'll combine technical expertise, people leadership, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth operations, continuous improvement, and alignment with MRI Software's global product strategies.

You will also serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact for key projects and initiatives, collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams across geographies.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & People Management :

- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentoring to DevOps engineers.

- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, support career growth, and foster a collaborative team culture.

- Promote a high standard of technical delivery, accountability, and innovation.

Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Own and drive end-to-end DevOps deliverables for global product teams, including timelines, resource allocation, and reporting.

- Use Jira to plan, track, and manage work items, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.

- Act as a liaison between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to align technical work with business goals.

- Communicate status updates, risks, and plans clearly and proactively across stakeholders.

- Participate in regular leadership calls and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Technical Delivery & Ownership :

- Oversee and guide infrastructure as code practices, CI/CD pipeline optimization, environment stability, and automation efforts.

- Lead the team in managing our Azure-based infrastructure and Kubernetes environments with a focus on performance, security, and compliance.

- Contribute to architectural decisions, including modernization, scalability, and observability improvements.

- Ensure the team adheres to MRIs security and compliance standards.

Operational Excellence :

- Own the lifecycle of application test and production environments (deployment, monitoring, cost optimization).

- Develop operational dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to improve system visibility and reduce incident response times.

- Manage and continuously improve our on-call processes and incident management practices.

Requirements :

Experience & Skills :

- Total 10+ years exp with 4+ years of DevOps experience, including 12 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity.
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure and deployments on Azure.

Strong experience with :

- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

- Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) resources.

- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, etc.

- Work management systems (Jira).

- Monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, SolarWinds etc.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects from inception to delivery.

- Hands-on experience using Jira (or similar tools) for managing technical project work, sprints, and backlog prioritization.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

Bonus/Nice To Have :

- Formal certification in Azure/AWS/GCP.

- Exposure to .NET-based development environments.

- Experience in Agile delivery environments and modern SDLC practices.

- Familiarity with cost management and reporting in cloud infrastructure.
