Skills and Competencies :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable backend platforms and enterprise-grade applications

- Strong expertise in Java and C#/.NET, API development, microservices, distributed systems, and modern software design practices

- Experience working with relational databases, columnar storage technologies, NoSQL platforms, and cloud-native architectures

- Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering

- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills within highly distributed engineering organizations

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities :

- Design and deliver scalable platform services, APIs, and foundational systems supporting Moody's SaaS ecosystem

- Lead architecture discussions and drive strategic technical decisions across platform engineering initiatives

- Develop reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions that support evolving business needs

- Collaborate across engineering and product teams to deliver customer-focused technology solutions

- Mentor engineers and promote best practices for software quality, maintainability, and scalability

- Support operational excellence through monitoring, optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives

About the Team :

- The Platform Engineering team builds the foundational services, infrastructure, and tooling that power Moody's Insurance Solutions products.

- By partnering closely with product engineering teams, the group enables scalable growth, operational excellence, and long-term platform modernization.
