Moodle Developer - PHP

Role : Moodle Developer

We are looking for an experienced Moodle Developer who can build, enhance, and maintain Moodle-based learning platforms. The role involves developing custom features, ensuring smooth integrations, and optimizing LMS performance to deliver a seamless user experience.

Location : Kolkata

Experience Required : 3 to 5 years

What Youll Do :

- Develop, customize, and enhance Moodle functionality based on project requirements.

- Create new Moodle plugins and extend or modify existing components.

- Customize Moodle themes, layouts, and UI to meet branding and usability guidelines.

- Integrate Moodle with third-party tools such as Zoom, BigBlueButton, and MS Teams.

- Ensure platform performance, scalability, and security best practices.

- Troubleshoot system issues, perform upgrades, and maintain compatibility.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for features and deployments.

- Collaborate with designers, QA, and business teams during development cycles.

- Customize reports and dashboards using Moodle reporting tools.

Our Ideal Candidate :

Must Have :

- Hands-on experience with Moodle development and LMS customization.

- Strong skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Good understanding of Moodle architecture, database design, and APIs.

- Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and LTI standards.

- Familiarity with Linux hosting environments, Apache / Nginx, and Git version control.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with creating custom analytics dashboards or reporting tools.

- Exposure to Moodle Workplace / multi-tenant LMS configuration.

- Knowledge of AWS / cloud hosting platforms.

- Awareness of data privacy and secure coding standards
