Overview
We are seeking a skilled Oracle HCM Developer to design, develop, implement, and support solutions within the Oracle Human Capital Management platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle HCM modules, technical development, integrations, and extensions, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable system solutions.
This role requires hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or Oracle EBS HCM, strong technical competency, and a solid understanding of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain customizations, extensions, and configurations within Oracle HCM (Cloud or EBS).
- Build Fast Formulas, BI Publisher reports, HCM Extracts, and OTBI dashboards.
- Develop and troubleshoot Oracle HCM Cloud components such as HDL, HSDL, and Fast Formulas.
- Customize workflows, approval processes, and page layouts to meet business needs.
- Build and maintain integrations between Oracle HCM and third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, OIC, or middleware tools.
- Develop outbound and inbound interfaces using HCM Extracts, HDL, PBL, and Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across systems.
- Configure modules such as Core HR, Absence, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, or Time & Labor based on business requirements.
- Support quarterly patches and ensure updates are tested, validated, and adopted efficiently.
- Analyze and resolve production issues, data errors, workflow failures, and integration problems.
- Perform root cause analysis, propose permanent fixes, and implement improvements.
- Support end-users through issue tracking, investigation, and solution delivery.
- Work closely with HR functional teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications, design documents, and solution approaches.
- Create technical documentation including solution designs, data mappings, test plans, and deployment guides.
- Build unit test cases, support system testing, UAT, and regression testing.
- Participate in deployment activities, patch application, and environment management.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet quality, performance, and security standards.
- Implement user roles, data security, and access controls per organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and security best practices.
- Support audit activities and maintain data integrity across environments.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 to 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle HCM (Cloud or EBS).
- Strong proficiency in :
- HCM Extracts
- HDL / HSDL
- Fast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Compensation)
- BI Publisher, OTBI
- OIC / SOA / APIs
- Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and technical debugging skills.
- Experience with HR business processes and enterprise HR systems
