About Position :

As a MongoDB Engineer (SE/SSE/LE), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing MongoDB Atlas environments to support scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

The role involves working closely with application, data, and DevOps teams to drive database best practices, optimize performance, and ensure reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Set up, configure, and administer MongoDB Atlas clusters, ensuring availability, security, and scalability.

- Design and implement MongoDB data models aligned with application and business requirements.

- Lead/Support migration from SQL Server to MongoDB, including schema design, ETL workflows, and data validation.

- Develop and optimize queries, indexes, and aggregation pipelines for high-performance data retrieval.

- Monitor cluster health, implement backup/recovery strategies, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshoot slow queries or inefficient schemas.

- Implement cost monitoring and optimization for MongoDB Atlas usage, covering query efficiency and storage utilization.

- Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for proactive database and cost management.

- Collaborate with data and application teams to embed MongoDB best practices into workflows.

- Ensure security compliance by managing access controls, encryption, and auditing within MongoDB Atlas.

- Research and recommend emerging MongoDB tools, features, and practices for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred for SSE/LE).

- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas administration and data modeling.

- Experience in database migration, schema design, and ETL pipelines.

- Proficiency in writing and optimizing MongoDB queries, indexes, and aggregations.

- Knowledge of performance tuning, backup strategies, and high availability setups.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloud Manager, Atlas monitoring, or third-party tools).

- Good understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience in managing security and compliance within database systems.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- (For LE) Proven experience in leading database projects, mentoring teams, and driving best practices
