Skills Required :

Backend Development :

- RESTful API design, Microservices, Event-driven architecture

- OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, API keys

- API Gateway design and API Management

- API security, rate limiting, versioning, caching, analytics

- Database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)

- Message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Frontend Development :

- Frontend API integration best practices

- UI frameworks & state management libraries (Redux, NgRx)

- Responsive, scalable, and accessible frontend application development

- Progressive Web Applications (PWA), mobile-first design (preferred)

DevOps & Cloud :

- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

- Observability : Logging, monitoring, metrics (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)

Other Skills :

- Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul) (preferred)

- Developer Portal, SDK development, Sandbox environments

- Strong leadership, team mentoring, and collaboration skills

- Compliance knowledge (GDPR, CCPA)

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing backend and frontend systems.

- Define and manage the full API lifecycle : versioning, security, analytics, governance.

- Create custom policies, plugins, and extensions for API management platforms.

- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).

- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to define API contracts and data formats.

- Drive standardization efforts across APIs and frontend integrations.

- Build developer-centric tools like portals, SDKs, and sandbox environments.

- Monitor API and frontend application performance; troubleshoot complex issues.

- Ensure seamless integration between frontend applications and backend APIs.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines for both API and frontend deployments.

- Mentor junior developers in API design, best practices, frontend/backend architecture.

- Stay updated on latest API, security, cloud, and frontend technologies.

- Ensure applications and APIs are compliant with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA).

Qualifications :

- 3+ years of hands-on API Management experience.

- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, Angular, AngularJS, TypeScript, JavaScript.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices, Event-driven systems.

- Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect.

- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with API Management platforms and cloud-native API gateways (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience in monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).

- API Management certification (preferred).

- Exposure to GraphQL APIs, Service Mesh architecture (preferred).

- Strong leadership, project management, and mentoring capabilities
