Shift : 5 PM 2 AM IST (US Client)

About the Role :

Were looking for a highly experienced Senior Yii Developer with strong full-stack expertise in PHP, Yii architecture, and modern frontend frameworks.

You will own end-to-end delivery including backend architecture, API development, frontend integration, and cloud deployment while collaborating closely with US-based engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend / Server-Side Development :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain large-scale applications using Yii / Yii2 framework.

- Design efficient database schemas and optimize complex MySQL queries.

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and third-party integrations.

- Implement secure, scalable backend logic following industry best practices.

- Handle backend caching, queues, jobs, and microservice-based architecture.

- Deploy applications using Docker, AWS ECS, or similar cloud environments.

Frontend Development :

- Implement responsive, user-friendly UIs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery.

- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional interfaces.

- Ensure smooth data flow and efficient communication between frontend and backend systems.

- Optimize frontend performance and browser compatibility.

Architecture, Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work directly with global teams, including US-based stakeholders.

- Participate in architectural design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.

- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards, documentation, and best practices.

- Contribute to continuous improvement in code quality, CI/CD, deployment processes, and system design.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.

- Strong expertise in Yii or Yii2 Framework (mandatory).

- Deep understanding of MVC architecture and enterprise-grade backend development.

- Advanced proficiency in MySQL (query tuning, indexing, schema optimization).

- Strong frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

- Experience with Docker, cloud deployments, AWS ECS, and CI/CD workflows.

- Ability to write clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with international teams.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).

- Exposure to Symfony or Laravel frameworks.

- Experience with caching systems (Redis, Memcached) and message queues.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API security best practices.
