About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior CraftCMS Developer who will function as an Individual Contributor, owning end-to-end delivery of CraftCMS-based digital solutions. The ideal candidate is deeply hands-on, with strong architectural understanding, plugin development expertise, and the ability to build scalable, content-rich websites using CraftCMS (v3/v4/v5).

This role requires a self-driven professional with strong technical leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate with global teams while independently managing development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

CraftCMS Development :

- Build, customize, and scale websites and applications using CraftCMS v3/v4/v5.

- Architect advanced content models including Sections, Fields, Matrix Blocks, Global Sets, and Multisite configurations.

- Develop custom CraftCMS plugins and modules for enhanced functionality.

- Utilize Twig templating effectively to build reusable, performant front-end components.

- Ensure proper implementation of CraftCMS caching, asset management, SEO structures, and performance tuning.

Backend Engineering :

- Write clean, secure, and maintainable PHP code within the Craft/Yii2 framework structure.

- Design efficient database schemas and queries using MySQL/PostgreSQL.

- Integrate REST, GraphQL, and third-party APIs into CraftCMS projects.

- Troubleshoot and optimize backend processes for speed and reliability.

Frontend Integration :

- Develop responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end layouts using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to accurately implement design systems within Craft templates.

- Ensure smooth integration between frontend elements and CraftCMS content structures.

DevOps & Deployment :

- Work with cloud environments such as AWS / GCP, including Docker-based deployments.

- Contribute to CI/CD workflows ensuring reliable build and deployment processes.

- Implement security best practices across environments.

Collaboration & Ownership :

- Operate as an Individual Contributor, independently driving development tasks from requirement understanding to deployment.

- Work closely with cross-functional and global teams including designers, PMs, and QA.

- Provide technical guidance and maintain high standards for code quality and system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of professional web development experience.

- Mandatory : Strong, proven expertise in CraftCMS (v3/v4/v5).

- Proficiency in PHP, Yii2, and MVC architecture.

- Strong understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL, schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and front-end integration.

- Experience working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

- Familiarity with GraphQL, headless CMS architecture, and API-driven development.

- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and independent problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue/React).

- Exposure to Craft Commerce.

- Experience in performance audits, large site migrations, or multisite architectures.
