Mobile Build & Release Engineer - Scripting

Role : Mobile Build & Release Engineer.

We are seeking a Mobile Build & Release Engineer to take ownership of our mobile CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth, reliable delivery of our iOS and Android applications.

You will play a critical role in the mobile development lifecycle by designing and maintaining scalable build systems, automating deployment processes, and coordinating with engineering, QA, and product teams to support regular releases.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of development and operations, with strong scripting abilities, mobile platform expertise, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated build and release pipelines for native iOS and

Android mobile applications using Jenkins, Fastlane, and Gradle.

- Support and enhance continuous integration and delivery processes, ensuring high availability and reliability of mobile releases.

- Develop tools and scripts (Shell, Python, Groovy) to automate and streamline build workflows.

- Integrate build systems with bug tracking and version control platforms (e.g., Jira, Git).

- Set up and manage mobile signing processes, certificates, provisioning profiles, and keystores.

- Build and maintain Jenkins agents and infrastructure, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

- Define and implement the future state of the DevSecOps pipeline for mobile applications, focusing on security, quality, and compliance.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align build, release, and deployment schedules.

- Lead and support successful bi-weekly mobile app releases across both platforms.

- Continuously identify areas for automation, improvement, and technical debt reduction.

- Communicate release-related activities, changes, and improvements to stakeholders.

- 35 years of experience with mobile build and release processes for iOS and Android.

- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Fastlane, Gradle, App Center, and Nexus.

- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Groovy, or Perl.

- Solid understanding of iOS and Android signing processes, including certificate management.

- Experience with CI/CD systems and build automation tools.

- Familiarity with both Mac and Windows operating systems for managing build environments.

- Experience with Git, Xcode, Android Studio, and mobile packaging/distribution workflows.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced development environment.

- Experience integrating mobile builds with issue tracking systems like Jira.

- Familiarity with security practices in mobile DevOps (DevSecOps).

- Understanding of mobile performance monitoring and crash reporting tools.

- Experience supporting or leading app releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
