Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Scenario Identification & Collaboration : Collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and manual QA engineers to thoroughly understand product requirements, identify comprehensive test scenarios, and prioritize automation efforts for maximum coverage and efficiency.

- Mobile UI & Functional Testing : Conduct in-depth UI, functional, and regression testing of mobile applications, ensuring seamless user experience and adherence to design specifications across various devices and operating system versions.

- API Testing & Backend Validation : Design and execute automated API tests to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of backend services that support mobile applications.

- Framework Enhancement : Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of existing mobile automation frameworks, tools, and processes.

- CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated test suites seamlessly into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to enable rapid feedback cycles and efficient software delivery.

- Cloud Testing Management : Manage and utilize cloud-based mobile device testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs to ensure broad test coverage across a diverse range of real devices and emulators/simulators.

- Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, track, and retest defects using appropriate defect management tools, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.

- Reporting & Analysis : Generate comprehensive test execution reports, analyze test results, and provide clear insights into application quality, performance, and stability.

- Mentorship & Best Practices : Share knowledge and best practices within the QA team, contributing to the upskilling of peers and fostering a culture of quality.

Skills Required :

- Experience : 6-9 years of proven experience in mobile application testing and automation.

- Mobile Testing Platforms : Extensive experience testing on both Android and iOS platforms.

- Automation Tools : Proficient with Appium (mandatory). Experience with other mobile testing

tools like Espresso, XCUITest, Robot Framework, or Detox is highly desirable.

- Programming Languages : Strong proficiency in Java (mandatory for automation scripting). Experience with Python, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript is a plus.

- Testing Types : Demonstrated expertise in UI testing, Functional testing, and Regression testing of mobile applications.

- API Testing : Solid experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or directly through code (e.g., RestAssured).

- Version Control : Hands-on experience with Git for source code management.

- DevOps & CI/CD : Practical experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

- Cloud Testing Platforms : Experience working with cloud mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

Qualifications :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly documenting issues and communicating with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team environment.
