Job Title : Mobile App Testing Engineer (Android / iOS)

Job Summary :

- Validate mobile application behavior across multiple devices, OS versions, screen resolutions, and network conditions.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for mobile and web applications using industry-standard automation tools.

- Perform API testing and backend validation using tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, or similar platforms.

- Conduct UI automation testing using Selenium and other automation frameworks.

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to prepare comprehensive testing strategies.

- Identify, document, track, and report software defects using defect tracking tools.

- Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

- Create reusable automation frameworks, utilities, and test data management strategies.

- Ensure adequate test coverage through detailed planning and execution methodologies.

- Validate application performance, responsiveness, usability, and stability under various scenarios.

- Perform compatibility testing across Android and iOS platforms.

- Support CI/CD testing activities and automated build validations.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

- Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness documentation.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and support team knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience in Mobile Application Testing for both Android and iOS platforms.

- Experience testing enterprise-grade mobile applications.

- Strong expertise in Manual Testing methodologies and QA processes.

- Experience in Automation Testing for mobile and web applications.

- Hands-on experience in UI Automation Testing using :

a. Selenium

b. SOAPUI

c. Appium (preferred)

- Strong knowledge of API Testing and Web Services validation.

- Experience designing :

a. Test Plans

b. Test Cases

c. Test Scripts

d. Test Data Sets

e. Test Scenarios

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.

- Experience in Regression, Functional, Integration, Smoke, and System Testing.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Appium or other mobile automation frameworks.

- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web service validation.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with cloud-based device testing platforms.

- Familiarity with performance and load testing concepts.

- Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries.

- Exposure to Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar tools.

- Experience in accessibility and usability testing for mobile applications.

- Understanding of mobile application security testing concepts.

- Exposure to enterprise mobility solutions and large-scale application ecosystems.
