Mirafra Technologies - WLAN Developer

About the Role :

We are seeking a talented WLAN Developer to join our engineering team in Chennai. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing WLAN features and drivers in a Linux-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C, with experience or interest in Linux kernel internals and wireless communication standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain WLAN driver and firmware components.

- Work on feature enhancements, performance optimization, and debugging of WLAN modules.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, hardware, and test) to deliver high-quality wireless solutions.

- Analyze and resolve issues in Linux kernel and WLAN stack layers.

- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Contribute to Linux upstream and open-source community projects where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong proficiency in C programming with emphasis on performance and reliability.

- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating system fundamentals.

- Exposure to Linux kernel internals and device driver development (preferred but not mandatory).

- Relevant industry experience of 3 to 6 years in embedded systems, networking, or wireless domain.

- Working knowledge of WLAN technologies and IEEE 802.11 standards is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with Linux development environments, version control (Git), and debugging tools.

- Experience with Linux upstream / open-source development will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech CSE, ECE, IT, or equivalent).

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
