We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including at least 2 years dedicated to the Azure ecosystem.

This role is critical for leveraging Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and operationalize robust data pipelines, semantic models, and historical datasets.

The primary focus will be supporting audit, finance, and operational reporting across the organization, requiring close collaboration with business, audit, and BI teams to ensure data-driven decision-making, financial transparency, and audit readiness.

Job Overview & Core Responsibilities :

Azure and Microsoft Fabric Development :

- Design, develop, and operationalize resilient data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for both batch and incremental data ingestion.

- Implement and manage Lakehouse architectures within Microsoft Fabric, leveraging formats such as Delta and Parquet for scalable data storage and processing.

- Develop sophisticated semantic models within Fabric/Power BI to support complex analytical, financial, and operational reporting needs.

- Utilize Microsoft Fabric to build and manage historical datasets critical for audit readiness and compliance requirements.

Data Modeling and Query Optimization :

- Demonstrate strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M) for data transformation, modeling, and analytical calculations.

- Apply solid knowledge of data modeling principles (Star/Snowflake schema) to design efficient data structures for large datasets.

- Implement performance optimization techniques for data ingestion, processing, and query execution within Synapse and Fabric environments.

- Ensure adherence to Power BI data modeling and integration best practices.

Governance, Security, and Compliance :

- Implement and enforce data governance and security frameworks, including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), data encryption, and adherence to internal and external compliance

standards.

- Work closely with audit and finance teams to ensure data lineage, accuracy, and accessibility meet strict audit requirements.

Collaboration and Support :

- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, audit teams, and BI developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Employ strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills to maintain clarity

and efficiency across all projects.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Experience : 5+ years in Data Engineering, with at least 2 years on the Azure ecosystem (Synapse, Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric).

- Tools & Languages (Mandatory) : Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Cloud Platform : Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

- Fabric Expertise : Proven proficiency in building Fabric Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, and Semantic Models.

- Data Architecture : Hands-on experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and Delta/Parquet formats.

- Modeling : Knowledge of data modeling principles (Star/Snowflake) and performance optimization for large datasets.

- Security : Experience in data governance and security frameworks, including RBAC, encryption, and compliance standards.
