Job Description

Job Title : Migration Engineer (Azure & AWS)

Position Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Migration Engineer to execute infrastructure, application, and database migrations to Azure and AWS. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with migration tools, hybrid/cloud environments, and the ability to deliver migrations with minimal downtime, while maintaining security and compliance throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities :

Migration Planning & Execution :

- Assess workloads and design migration strategies for Azure and AWS.

- Perform VMware, Hyper-V, and physical server migrations using Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, and native tools.

- Migrate databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) to Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or Managed Instances.

- Conduct Microsoft 365 migrations (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) with Azure AD integrations.

Cutover & Validation :

- Prepare migration runbooks, rollback strategies, and test plans.

- Execute smooth cutovers with minimal business disruption.

- Validate post-migration performance, data integrity, and application functionality.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting :

- Work with architects, project managers, and stakeholders to align with cloud adoption frameworks.

- Troubleshoot migration issues in real time.

- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3-6 years of migration experience with hands-on Azure and AWS projects.

- Proficient in Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, ShareGate, Quest ODM, or similar tools.

- Strong knowledge of networking, identity management, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).

- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS migration patterns.

- Basic scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

- Experience migrating both Windows and Linux servers.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator / Azure Solutions Architect.

- AWS Certified : Solutions Architect Associate / Professional.

- Experience with cross-cloud disaster recovery and multi-cloud architectures.

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
