Middleware Sterling Integrator Specialist (B2B/EDI)
Role Overview :
The Middleware Sterling Integrator Specialist is a focused technical role requiring 2- 3 Years of Total Experience with 1- 2 Years of Relevant Experience specifically on the IBM Sterling Integrator platform.
The incumbent will be responsible for the configuration, development, deployment, and support of mission-critical B2B and EDI integration solutions.
This role requires mandatory, hands-on expertise in the core functionalities of IBM Sterling Integrator and is available across Pan India.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a Middleware Sterling Integrator Specialist (2- 3 years total experience, 1- 2 years relevant) with mandatory hands-on expertise in the IBM Sterling Integrator platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, and supporting B2B/EDI interfaces, including translating and mapping complex EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, X12).
Key responsibilities include creating and managing business processes, setting up communication protocols, performing detailed testing, and contributing to overall system support and optimization within the middleware environment.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :
IBM Sterling Integrator Development and Configuration :
- Demonstrate mandatory, Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (now IBM Sterling B2B Integrator) for configuring and deploying B2B solutions.
- Develop, modify, and optimize Business Processes (BPs) using the graphical process modeler or BPML (Business Process Modeling Language).
- Implement and manage various communication protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTPs, AS2) for secure data exchange with trading partners.
- Focus on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integration, including creating and managing maps for data transformation between different standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and internal formats (XML, flat file).
Support and Quality Assurance :
- Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues related to B2B communications, failed file transfers, and mapping errors.
- Perform unit and integration testing of newly developed processes and maps, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with partner specifications.
System Knowledge and Process Improvement :
- Maintain a Basic understanding of related technologies such as API consumption/exposure, EDI standards, and general B2B integrations.
- Apply Exposure to automation or scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) for routine configuration tasks, monitoring, or support activities (Good to Have).
- Leverage Knowledge of other middleware or integration tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Tibco, webMethods) for broader architectural context (Good to Have).
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience : 1- 2 Years Relevant Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (B2B Integrator).
- Core Skills : Hands-on experience with Business Process Modeling (BPML) and EDI Mapping.
- Integration : Experience setting up and troubleshooting Communication Protocols (SFTP, AS2, etc.).
Good to Have (Not Mandatory) Skills :
- Knowledge of other middleware or integration tools.
- Basic understanding of related technologies (API, EDI, B2B integrations).
- Exposure to automation or scripting for configuration/support tasks.
