Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.

The candidate should have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 Compliance, eDiscovery, Data Lifecycle Management, Information Protection, Records Management, DLP, and Data Governance.

The role will involve close collaboration with Security, Legal, Compliance, Business, and Technical stakeholders to establish secure, compliant, and scalable enterprise data management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Microsoft Purview Architecture & Implementation :

- Design and implement enterprise-wide Microsoft Purview solutions.

- Develop governance frameworks for data classification, retention, protection, and compliance.

- Architect and implement :

1. Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).

2. Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

3. Sensitivity Labels.

4. Retention Labels & Retention Policies.

5. Records Management.

6. Insider Risk Management.

7. Communication Compliance.

8. Data Lifecycle Management.

- Define enterprise standards, policies, architecture, and implementation roadmaps for Purview.

2. eDiscovery & Legal Compliance :

- Design and manage Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Standard and Premium.

- Configure and manage :

1. Legal Holds.

2. Custodian Management.

3. Review Sets.

4. Advanced Collections.

5. Case Management.

6. Content Search.

7. Export Workflows.

- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams during investigations, litigation, and regulatory requests.

- Establish defensible data preservation, evidence management, and chain-of-custody procedures.

- Support enterprise investigation and legal discovery processes.

3. Microsoft 365 Compliance & Security :

- Architect Compliance And Data Protection Controls Across :

1. Exchange Online.

2. SharePoint Online.

3. OneDrive for Business.

4. Microsoft Teams.

5. Viva Engage / Yammer.

6. Microsoft 365 compliance ecosystem.

7. Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.

8. Microsoft Defender Suite.

- Implement Zero Trust and Data Protection strategies within Microsoft 365.

- Ensure data protection and compliance controls align with applicable regulatory requirements, including :

1. GDPR.

2. ISO 27001.

3. HIPAA.

4. SOX.

5. PCI-DSS.

4. Data Governance & Information Protection :

- Design and implement enterprise-wide data classification and labeling strategies.

- Develop automated data discovery and classification policies.

- Establish data retention, archival, and destruction policies.

- Define governance standards for sensitive and business-critical information.

- Implement and integrate Purview Data Map and Data Catalog where applicable.

- Develop governance processes for data ownership, stewardship, classification, retention, and protection.

5. Stakeholder Management & Architecture :

- Act as the Microsoft Purview SME/Architect for compliance and data governance initiatives.

- Conduct architecture workshops with :

1. Security teams.

2. Legal teams.

3. Compliance teams.

4. Business stakeholders.

5. Infrastructure/Cloud teams.

6. IT leadership.

- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical recommendations.

- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

- Provide best practices and recommendations around Microsoft compliance and governance.
