Role Overview :

We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Solution Architect with a strong background in application development and cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will lead cloud transformation initiatives, architect enterprise-scale solutions, and guide development teams through successful delivery on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires deep expertise in both cloud-native and hybrid architectures, with strong client-facing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and lead application development and migration strategies to Microsoft Azure, ensuring high performance, availability, and scalability.

- Engage directly with customers to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions aligned with Azure best practices.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and cloud engineering teams.

- Design and implement large-scale cloud-native applications, as well as migrating existing workloads from on-premises to Azure.

- Develop optimized, scalable, and secure cloud architectures, leveraging Azure PaaS, IaaS, and hybrid capabilities.

- Architect hybrid cloud solutions, enabling seamless integration between on-premises systems and Azure cloud services.

- Define and document solution architectures, reference architectures, and cloud design patterns.

- Drive successful Cloud Assessments, including as-is state analysis, target state design, migration planning, and implementation.

- Create cloud operation runbooks and assist in building self-sustaining operational capabilities within client environments.

- Participate in agile project execution, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and related tools.

- Map application components to appropriate Azure services including App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and others.

- Lead and support design efforts for custom applications and integration with COTS platforms like SAP and Oracle.

- Stay current on Microsoft Azure offerings and industry trends to continuously enhance solution designs.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience as an Azure Solution Architect with deep application development expertise.

- Strong implementation experience in cloud-native architecture and workload migration.

- Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns, solution design principles, and best practices.

- Proficient in Azure services including but not limited to App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Azure AD, ARM Templates, Bicep, Azure Monitor.

- Expertise in designing solutions that address attributes like availability, scalability, security, and performance.

- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures, application integration, and network design.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployments.

- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as compute, storage, networking, and security in Azure.

- Strong background in both traditional and modern application architectures.

- Experience in defining and modeling application blueprints and workload derivations.

- Ability to design cloud-based solutions for both custom-built applications and COTS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.

- Experience in delivering Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) initiatives or leading cloud governance frameworks is a plus.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
