Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Platform Leader Data Platform Support to lead and manage our enterprise-scale data platforms.
This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, incident/problem management skills, and the ability to collaborate across business, engineering, and sales teams.
The Platform Leader will be accountable for ensuring high availability, optimized performance, and compliance of data platforms while also driving automation, innovation, and business acquisition support.
Key Responsibilities :
Service Delivery & Operations :
- Lead support and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Drive incident triage, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes in alignment with ITIL practices.
- Manage escalations, lead war rooms, and ensure clear stakeholder communication.
- Oversee knowledge transfers, on-call rotations, and shift transitions for data support teams.
Pre-Sales & Business Enablement :
- Partner with pre-sales and solutioning teams to demonstrate platform service capabilities.
- Support customer presentations, workshops, RFPs, and SOWs.
- Collaborate with business managers and marketing teams to create sales collateral and communication packages.
- Ensure timely and high-quality solution delivery with zero escalation from bid management teams.
Technology Leadership :
- Provide end-to-end architectural insights across platform services and infrastructure.
- Drive automation of routine tasks, workflows, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
- Implement robust data governance, protection, and compliance measures (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Continuously evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and practices for adoption.
Collaboration & Growth :
- Partner with Sales, BDG, and Marketing teams to execute digital and sales campaigns.
- Contribute to business acquisition efforts by actively supporting NN/EN service opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment.
- Engage in continuous learning to strengthen both technical depth and leadership capabilities.
Required Technical Skills :
Data Platform & Infrastructure :
- Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift.
- Data lakes, warehouses, marts, and lakehouses.
- On-prem to cloud migration strategies.
Database Technologies :
- SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
- Columnar stores (e.g., Redshift, Vertica).
Data Engineering Tools :
- ETL/ELT (Apache NiFi, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory).
- Scripting/orchestration (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
- Workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow, Luigi).
Cloud & DevOps :
- Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible (IaC).
- CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
Data Security & Governance :
- RBAC, IAM, data masking, auditing.
- Apache Ranger, Azure Purview, Collibra.
Incident & Problem Management :
- ITIL practices, ServiceNow, JIRA.
- War room leadership, stakeholder communication.
Automation & Optimization :
- Workflow automation.
- Performance tuning (queries, jobs, infra).
- Cloud cost optimization.
Education & Experience :
- Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a platform leadership or data operations role.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and supporting pre-sales/business acquisition
