We are hiring for Microfocus Cobol Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our team immediately.

Micro Focus COBOL Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our application development and support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing MF COBOL systems and supporting online processing, incident management, and data access using SQL.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain applications using Micro Focus COBOL in a distributed (Windows) environment.

- Design, code, test, analysis and deploy Cobol code and JCL equivalents for daily operational processes.

- Perform incident and problem management analyse production issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply timely resolutions.

- Create and maintain batch scripts (Shell/Windows scripts) to automate job execution and data handling.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, Infra, and client to ensure system stability and delivery of enhancements.

- Participate in code reviews, peer testing, and deployment planning.

- Maintain documentation related to application logic, incidents, and enhancements.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Micro Focus COBOL development.

- Strong experience in JCL (or equivalent batch job setup in Micro Focus environments).

- Good understanding of DB2 and embedded SQL in COBOL.

- Experience with batch scripting (Shell scripting or Windows BAT files).

- Proven experience in incident management and production support.

- Familiarity with file handling and structured COBOL programming.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
