Key Responsibilities :
1. Network Design and Implementation :

- Oversee the configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and
other network equipment.
- Ensure proper network segmentation and security controls across all network layers.
2. Team Leadership :
- Lead and manage a team of network engineers, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to promote skill development.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and performance feedback.
3. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting :
- Continuously monitor the network performance to ensure optimal functioning, identifying and resolving any issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems, including outages, connectivity issues, and performance degradation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
4. Network Security :
- Ensure the implementation of strong security measures, including firewalls, intrusion
detection systems (IDS), and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
- Review and enhance network security protocols to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to conduct regular security audits and vulnerability
assessments.
5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., IT, Security, Infrastructure) to ensure network solutions align with business needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated network issues or projects, providing updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new network technologies.
6. Performance Reporting and Optimization :
- Regularly analyze network performance metrics and report on network health to senior leadership.
- Proactively recommend and implement network optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in networking to ensure the organizations infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
7. Documentation :
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, procedures, and incidents.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco Certified Network
Associate (CCNA).
- Extensive experience in network design, configuration, and management, typically 4-5 years.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a technical team.
