Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in Node.js, distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and Generative AI. The ideal candidate will architect, design, and build scalable backend platforms while integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and intelligent automation into enterprise applications. This role requires strong software architecture skills, hands-on coding experience, and the ability to lead technical decisions for AI-powered products.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Architecture :

- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Architect cloud-native microservices and event-driven systems.

- Define API standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.

- Build highly available RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.

- Design enterprise-level backend architectures for AI-enabled applications.

- Perform architecture reviews and optimize application performance.

2. Generative AI Development :

- Design and implement AI-powered applications using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, or open-source LLMs.

- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases.

- Build intelligent AI Agents with planning, reasoning, memory, and tool-calling capabilities.

- Engineer high-quality prompts and optimize LLM responses.

- Integrate LLMs into enterprise workflows and business applications.

- Implement guardrails, hallucination mitigation, and AI safety mechanisms.

- Design multi-agent orchestration systems.

- Optimize token usage, latency, and inference costs.

3. AI Infrastructure :

- Build scalable AI services and inference APIs.

- Design semantic search solutions using embeddings.

- Integrate document ingestion, chunking, indexing, and retrieval pipelines.

- Build conversational AI assistants and enterprise chatbots.

- Implement evaluation frameworks for LLM quality and response accuracy.

4. Engineering Leadership :

- Lead architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

- Mentor backend engineers and conduct code reviews.

- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, ML Engineers, DevOps, and Frontend teams.

- Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

- Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Express.js, NestJS, Fastify.

2. Architecture :

- Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, Distributed Systems, High Availability, Scalable System Design.

3. Databases :

- PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.

4. Cloud & DevOps :

- AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.

5. Messaging :

- Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS.

1. Large Language Models :

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 812+ years of backend development experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.

- 2+ years of experience building Generative AI or LLM-powered applications.

- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale backend architectures.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native application development.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience deploying open-source LLMs.

- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks.

- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

- Experience with Agentic AI workflows.

- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and MLOps.

- Contributions to open-source AI projects.

- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
