MERN Stack Developer

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled MERN Stack Developer with strong backend and cloud expertise to design and build scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js, along with hands-on exposure to AWS services and modern distributed system architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build reusable, modular, and high-performance components using React.js

- Develop secure and efficient RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express.js

- Implement server-side logic, data structures, and algorithms for performance-critical applications

- Architect scalable backend systems with microservices or modular monolith approaches

- Design efficient database schemas, indexing strategies, and query optimizations in MongoDB

- Implement caching strategies using Redis or similar tools

- Handle asynchronous workflows, queues, and event-driven architectures

- Design and deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure

- EC2, ECS, or EKS for compute

- S3 for storage and static assets

- Lambda for serverless functions

- API Gateway for API management

- RDS/DynamoDB (if required alongside MongoDB)

- IAM for access control and security

- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline

- Monitor applications using CloudWatch, logging, and alerting mechanisms

- Optimize applications for high throughput and low latency

- Implement horizontal scaling strategies and load balancing

- Use caching, lazy loading, and code splitting techniques

- Conduct performance profiling and bottleneck analysis

- Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth)

- Ensure secure coding practices and data protection

- Handle vulnerabilities like XSS, CSRF, and injection attacks

- Follow industry standards for API security and encryption

- Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams

- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices

- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery

Required Skills :

- Should have 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role

- Advanced knowledge of React.js (hooks, performance optimization, state management)

- Deep understanding of Node.js and Express.js internals

- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, schema design, and aggregation pipelines

- Strong experience with REST APIs / GraphQL

- Solid understanding of system design and distributed systems

- Experience with AWS cloud services and deployment

- Proficiency in Git and version control workflows

Good to Have :

- Familiarity with Next.js (SSR/SSG)

- Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes

- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)

- Exposure to Elasticsearch or advanced search systems

- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
