MediaTek - Staff Engineer - UEFI Development

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Evaluate and drive performance and power optimizations at the platform level.

- Debug and resolve complex firmware and driver issues across software and hardware layers.

- Collaborate with hardware, validation, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of UEFI

solutions.

- Follow Agile development practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and static analysis, to deliver high-quality software.

- Contribute to platform-level features such as ACPI, SMBIOS, and RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features.

Technical Skills :

- Firmware & OS Knowledge : Strong understanding of UEFI, EDK2, ACPI, SMBIOS, and RAS features.

- Computer Architecture : Good understanding of system architecture and operating system fundamentals.

- Development Practices : Experience with Agile methodologies, unit testing, static analysis, and debugging techniques.

- Hardware Knowledge : Ability to interpret schematics and hardware programming guides.

- Kernel-Mode Drivers : Experience with driver development for Camera, Video, Power, or Audio subsystems is a plus
