Media.net - Lead Test Engineer - Java/Appium

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Appium to lead our test automation efforts for mobile and web applications.

In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define testing strategies, drive automation frameworks, and ensure high product quality across releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead test planning, test design, and execution for mobile and web applications.

- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Java and Appium.

- Implement automated tests for Android and iOS platforms, ensuring cross-device compatibility and performance.

- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in automation best practices and framework usage.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, DevOps) to resolve issues and improve quality.

- Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across test scripts.

- Track and report key quality metrics such as defect densities, test coverage, and automation ROI.

- Participate in release activities and ensure timely sign-offs from QA.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 6+ years of experience in QA, with at least 3+ years in test automation.

- Strong programming skills in Java.

- Expertise in Appium for mobile test automation (iOS and Android).

- Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle.

- Familiarity with mobile testing tools (e.g., ADB, XCUITest, Espresso is a plus).

- Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

- Good understanding of REST APIs and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
