About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Manager Testing to lead quality assurance and testing initiatives across complex software projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automation testing, test strategy development, and team leadership.

As an Associate Manager Testing, you will oversee the end-to-end QA process, ensure the delivery of high-quality software products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and frameworks for multiple projects.

- Ensure testing aligns with project timelines, scope, and business requirements.

- Assess project risks, define mitigation plans, and establish quality metrics to measure effectiveness.

- Ensure compliance with organizational testing standards and best practices.

- Oversee functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing activities.

- Coordinate end-to-end test execution across manual and automation streams.

- Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, etc.).

- Review and approve test cases, scripts, and results to ensure accuracy and coverage.

- Monitor test progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure timely resolution of defects.

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual and automation).

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance for career development.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the QA team.

- Ensure optimal resource allocation and workload distribution.

- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency and quality.

- Implement and maintain test governance frameworks and best practices.

- Champion test automation, DevOps integration, and continuous testing initiatives.

- Collaborate with delivery and development teams to improve code quality and early defect detection.

- Work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Development Leads to align testing objectives.

- Communicate project quality metrics, test outcomes, and risk assessments to stakeholders.

- Ensure transparency in testing progress through dashboards and regular status reports.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in a lead or managerial role.

- Expertise in manual and automation testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.

- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps environments.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

- Proficient in test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest.

- Experience in performance testing (using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar) is a plus.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
