About the Opportunity :

We are seeking a seasoned MDM Architect / Data Governance Lead to drive the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide data management frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, metadata management, and data modeling, with hands-on experience in tools such as Collibra or Informatica MDM.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the data management architecture, enforcing data quality standards, and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data assets.

The position requires both technical proficiency and business acumen to align data strategies with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

What Youll Do :

- Lead the design and deployment of MDM architectures, ensuring a single source of truth across customer, product, vendor, and reference data domains.

- Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and stewardship models to ensure data integrity and compliance.

- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to establish data ownership, lineage, and accountability frameworks.

- Design data models, entity relationships, and metadata structures that support scalability, performance, and data accessibility.

- Work with data architects and engineers to integrate MDM solutions with enterprise systems, data lakes, and downstream applications.

- Oversee metadata management processes to ensure transparency, traceability, and discoverability of critical data assets.

- Implement data quality monitoring, profiling, and remediation workflows across data pipelines.

- Lead tool selection, configuration, and customization for data governance platforms (Collibra, Informatica, or equivalent).

- Partner with compliance and security teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO.

- Drive data literacy initiatives, training programs, and communication strategies to promote a data-first culture across the organization.

- Act as a key advisor for data governance councils and data stewardship committees, influencing enterprise data strategy.

What You Bring :

- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data governance, and MDM implementation.

- Proven expertise in designing and deploying MDM solutions using platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, or IBM InfoSphere MDM.

- Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, or Axon.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and reference data frameworks.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Deep knowledge of data integration, ETL, and data quality management techniques.

- Strong understanding of data lineage, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.

- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business perspectives effectively.

- Demonstrated leadership in defining and enforcing data management standards at the enterprise level.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud-native MDM and governance frameworks (e.g., Azure Purview, AWS Glue Data Catalog, Google DataPlex).

- Familiarity with data catalogs, business glossaries, and data stewardship models.

- Exposure to data governance maturity assessments and data quality scoring methodologies.

- Certifications in data governance or data management frameworks (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, Informatica Certified MDM Specialist).

- Prior experience working with enterprise architecture teams to align MDM with BI and analytics initiatives.
