Maximus - Python Test Engineer

The IT Automation Test Engineers role includes analyzing and reviewing system requirements, collaborating with Development and DevOps engineering teams to understand project objectives, and gathering automation requirements to design reusable and maintainable automation tests.

The individual will actively contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing or expanding the existing automation framework. This position also involves developing a test strategy to maximize the use of automation for testing web based applications built on microservices architecture and web services.

Additionally, the Senior QA Engineer will mentor testing team members, lead proof of concept (PoC) research for new tools, make recommendations, and implement approved tools in alignment with management direction

- Experienced in functional and automated testing, with at least 70% focus on test automation

- Experienced in functional test authoring, RTMs, defect cycles, test execution, defect triage, and team leadership

- Design, implement, and maintain Page Object Model (POM) and Data Driven Automation Frameworks

- Develop automation test code using Selenium with Java or Python to test UI and database applications

- Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and AWS teams to build and execute automated tests through CI/CD pipelines

- Participate in Agile test management activities for web based and/or mobile applications

- Provide testing estimates for both manual and automation testing.

- Develop, maintain, and execute integration and system test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases as per company standards

- Identify and prepare test data for functional and automation testing

- Execute test cases and manage the defect lifecycle from reporting to closure

- Monitor overall testing activities including UAT and production support, and provide testing status

- Review automation frameworks, automation code, scripts, and test suites to ensure adherence to coding and security standards

- Assist with development of functional automation scripts for regression testing

- Troubleshoot user reported production defects

- Provide test results walkthroughs and support UAT execution and data preparation

- Maintain project manual and automation testing documentation

- Mentor team members during sprint execution and provide project specific training for new joiners

- Provide regular updates to the Test Manager / Project Manager

- Attend project related meetings as required

- Perform other testing related duties based on project needs

- Minimum 4 years of hands on automation testing experience in medium to large, complex web based projects

- Preferably experience in the healthcare domain

- Proven ability to code in Python and/or Java, applying OOP concepts to build reusable and maintainable automation scripts

- Proficient in test automation and execution within an Agile environment
