We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend systems and distributed services that power real-time applications. You will work closely with product, frontend, and data teams to design robust architectures, optimize system performance, and deliver reliable solutions at scale.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, building scalable microservices, and working with modern backend technologies in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency backend services for real-time systems

- Build, maintain, and optimize scalable microservices and RESTful APIs

- Design efficient database schemas and improve SQL/ClickHouse query performance

- Develop and manage high-scale data pipelines using Airflow

- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues across the stack

- Identify system bottlenecks and implement performance improvements

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and low-level design specifications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Frontend Engineering

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 2- 6 years of experience in backend development with scalable distributed systems

- Strong programming skills in Java with frameworks such as Spring Boot and JPA

- Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices

- Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL

- Experience with query optimization and database performance tuning

- Exposure to NoSQL or analytical databases like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse

- Experience working with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and managed cloud services

- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in high-scale, real-time systems

- Understanding of distributed system architecture and event-driven systems

- Exposure to containerization and CI/CD pipelines

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
