Massil Technologies - Senior Java Developer - Spring Frameworks

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient Java-based backend systems.

- Build and deploy microservices using Spring Boot and integrate them with Apache Kafka for stream processing.

- Develop and maintain Kafka producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams for real-time messaging and data pipelines.

- Participate in the design of distributed systems architecture, ensuring high availability and resilience.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, UI/UX) in agile development environments.

- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes in a timely manner.

- Continuously optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability.

- Stay updated with emerging trends in Java, Kafka, cloud-native development, and distributed systems.

Required Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE backend development.

- Strong expertise in Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.

- Solid experience with Apache Kafka including producers, consumers, stream processing, and Kafka Connect.

- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating backend systems with third-party services.

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud-native application development.

- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes is a plus.

- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

- Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Kafka Schema Registry, Kafka Connectors, and Kafka security configurations.

- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.

- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence.

Soft Skills :

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong team player with a proactive mindset.

- Willingness to mentor junior developers and lead by example
